Driving Directions

Via Interstate 10

From West:  Take Exit 22 and go south on SR 281(toll) to US 98.  Turn Left and proceed east on US 98 to Destin and The Resorts of Pelican Beach. 

From East:  Take Exit 56 and go south on SR 85 to SR 20 or take Exit 70 and go south on SR 285 to SR 20.  Turn Left and proceed east on SR 20 to SR 293(Mid-Bay Bridge-toll).  Turn right and proceed across bridge to US 98. Turn right and proceed west on US 98 to Destin and The Resorts of Pelican Beach.

Via US 331 

Take US 331 to US 98. Turn right and proceed west on US 98 to Destin and The Resorts of Pelican Beach.

Via US 231

Take US 231 to Interstate 10. Turn right and proceed west on I-10.  Follow directions above for I-10 From East.

Via US 29

Take US 29 to Interstate 10 and proceed east on I-10.  Follow directions above for I-10 From West.

Arriving Via Air

The Destin area is served by two airports within close proximity to The Resorts of Pelican Beach.

The Okaloosa Regional Airport (VPS) and is located on Eglin Air Force Base.  It provides essential scheduled commercial air passenger service for a large proportion of the Northwest Florida area. It does not provide service for private aircraft, due to its location on Eglin Air Force Base.  Currently, VPS has scheduled direct service to/from Atlanta (Delta / ASA), Dallas (American Eagle), Houston (Continental), St. Louis (American Eagle), Memphis (Northwest) and Tampa (Gulfstream).  The Okaloosa Regional Airport is approximately 16 miles (30 minute drive) from The Resorts of Pelican Beach.  Car rental companies servicing VPS include:  Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, Alamo, and Enterprise.

The Destin/Ft. Walton Beach Airport (DTS) is a general aviation public use facility owned and operated by Okaloosa County. It does not provide service to commercial airlines.  The Destin/Ft. Walton Beach Airport is approximately 1.5 miles (3 minute drive) from The Resorts of Pelican Beach.

An alternate airport is located in Pensacola (PNS) with additional airline service.  Please note, the Pensacola airport is an approximately 1 to 1.5 hour drive from The Resorts of Pelican Beach.  PNS has scheduled direct service to/from Atlanta (Airtran/Delta/Delta Connection), Charlotte (US Airways/US Airways Express), Chicago (American), Dallas (American/American Eagle), Ft. Lauderdale (Delta Connection), Houston (Continental/Continental Express), Memphis (Northwest), Orlando (Delta Connection), and Tampa (Continental Connection/Delta Connection).
